(Shubh) – Good Results
भाव (Bhav) - House
X - Bad Results

The essential way to live
There are four velours or goals which have to be achieved by each individual soul. The Valour means desire which one should aim in a systemic way. The other meaning of velour is the fruit achieved after lot of hard labor. These are Dharma, Arth, Kaam and Moksha.
Dharma- Practising Dharma is the supreme method for improving the quality of our human life. The word "dharma" originates from the Sanskrit root dhri, meaning to "uphold" or to "sustain." means "that which upholds or sustains the positive order of things. The Karmas that bring purity into your being is Dharma. The Karmas become Dharma when our chitta is pure. Pure intellect is only possible when there is element of divinity associated with it and this is only achieved with the shuddha Buddhi. When the intellect controls the mind, then that intellect is of the highest grade Dharma is found where there is pure intellect which in turn is associated with detachment & sound judgment. (Vivek)
Arth – This is desired by everyone. No one in this world work without any aim and behind every aim there is desire of benefit, comfort and welfare. The ultimate aim of every human soul is to achieve the highest pleasure. An ordinary man feels that one can get happiness if all the materialistic things are achieved with money. Whatever we do is centered on only money. Arth never stays inside; it is always outside. But the happineess lies inside. The thing which is outside can't bring happiness. Even if it does than it is for moment.
The third valour is Kaam which is associated with situation, person or material things.
This stays in our mind because after achieving our desirable, whether it is situation, person or thing or material. This is definitely better than Arth because to get this; Arth can be spend by any one like anything. But chance of loosing the direction is very high if not guided properly on time. It is a double edge sword.
When Arth & Kaam are not associated with the Dharma then they create the illusion of pleasure. We must understand and implement Arth & Kaam in such a way that momentary pleasure which later leads to sorrow, should not happen.
Whatever prevents blind attraction & attachment that is Dharma. Obeying the Dharma brings brightness & enlightenment to the mind & shoul, People who do not follow their Dharma can never have this aura
We usually concentrate on the Arth & Kaam aspects of purushartha & forget about Moksha & Dharma or leave it on future. If we leave Arth & Kaam in hands of God & concentrate all the energies on achieving Moksha & Dharma than everything else falls into place automatically.
One can not restrain totally or run away from this world. Than what one should do? One should practice Dharma, Arth & Karma equally. Concentrating only on one is what causes man’s downfall. So Balance is the key word. If Arth & Kaam are imbibed with Dharma as the medium, than the Kaam will not lead to any ties and so the path of liberation will open up.
The way of life has been divided in to four stages to prepare one for achievement of these goals in a systematic manner so one can enjoy the life in totality. These are brahmacharya, grihastha, vanaprastha and sanyas ashram. These four stages also help in balancing the three Gunas (satv, raj, tam)
The brahmacharya ashram (stage of studentship) is for initial 20-25 years in which the knowledge of Dharma and other aspects like livelihood, politics etc are learned in a diligent and focused manner to make life better under strict discipline, celibacy and guidance This is the best time to sow the seed of good sanskara on which rest of three ashram matures.
The second 20-25 years, is called the "Grihastha ashram" or householder phase. This is the main time for marriage, having children and raising a family, as well as for working and fulfilling our duties to society. It involves earning a living through the skills acquired during Brahmacharya ashram. In this ashrama an individual pays three debts (service of God, serving sages and saints and to ancestors), The goal is to acquire knowledge, build character and learn to shoulder responsibilities on the basis of dharma.
The third section of 20-25 yr is Vanaprastha or the hermitage phase indicates the departure gradual withdrawal from material possessions & active life handing over the control to the next generationand. In this one begins devoting more time to study of scriptures, contemplation and meditation. The social activities become religious in nature. Celibacy is again recommended.
The fourth and last section is the "Sannyasa" or renunciation phase. In this phase one has to give up all worldly ties, spends all of his or her time in meditation and inwardly aims to seek the highest bliss of spirituality.
Simply reading a topic from a book is not enough. It should stay with one. If any wants to understand its true meaning, then one should successfully imbibe the meaning of the topic read in one’s daily life.

Festivals are classified into two Main Categories mainly for celebration -
1. One is related with the Celebration of Great incarnation of Lord and Saints.
2. Other festivals relate to the change of the season e.g. Basant Panchami, Makar Sakranti,
Through the festival we are made aware of the change in nature, so that we can live in harmony.
Holi is the festival of colours, romance and triumph of good over evil. In some Bhakti traditions such as Sufism Basant Panchmi stats the Creator and Holi celebrates the meeting of soul and creator.
The reference of Holi is found in Narda Puran, Bhavishya Puran and Jamini Purvamimansa sutra
Holi welcomes the spring and celebration of new life and energy of the season.
Holi is also known as Rang Panchami, Holikotsav, Vasant Mahotsav, Kam Mahotsav. Holi is also a tribute to mother earth for heavy provided us with food and nurturing. It is celebrated on full moon day in the Phalgun month
The legend behind celeberation of Holi -
* The most famous is the Prahalad, who was saved from burning by holika by Lord Narayan. King Hiranyakashyap was angry at his son Prahlad’s devotion to Vihnu and made several attempts to kill him but failed. Finally he decided to make prahlad sat on his sister Holika’s lap who had bestowal that Fire will not burn her.He thought in this way he will kill Prahlad and Holika would remain unharmed. Prahlad’s firm faith on God Vishnu enables him to emerge safe from terrible fire while Holika is reduced to ashes.
This story establishes the victory of positive forces over negative and inspires one to celebrate and respect positive forces in nature. Holi strong the beliefs that true devotees of God emerge safe in difficult circumstances and evil people are punished. It is not all that simple though and one needs to harbor spiritual quality for self development and emulate the attritubes of Prahalad.
* Victory over Dhundhi Ogress by children in kingdom of Prithu
* In memory of caper played by Krishana to adjust the injustice of skin colour- Radha was so fair and Krishna was so dark.Mata Yashoda suggested to splesh the colours on Radha’s face to make her complexion like Krishna.
* Lord Krishana killed Putna that day.
* In memory of reincarnation of Kamdeva - Kamdeva is considered as God of Love. He is distroyed in to ashes when he tried to disrupt Lord Shiva Penance for the Marriege with Devi Parvati on request of Indra and other Devas for the destruction of Tarkasur. This happened on the day of Holika Dahan. When Rati (wife of Kamdeva) prayed Lord Shiva, he restored him as a mental image. This story signifies the burning of carnal desires and presents spiritual state of Love rather than physical lust..
* Birthday of Chaitanya Maha Prabhu - He is a significant form of Radha and Lord Krishana combined in one
Holi Bonfire signifies devotion and knowledge which burns away the mind's impurities like egoism lust, selfishness, greed, hatred and undesirable tendencies by decomposing the Raja and Tama Particals in the atmosphare . Elemination of negative energies helps in acquiring divine attributes of Love laughter and joy through play of colours because the colors work like generators of energy.
It is also said that this bonfire destroyes the bacterias which are responsible for illness due to change in season.
We are all influenced by the different vibrations that each colour possesses.Colours represent the outward expression of our deepest emotions. Colors are manifestation of cosmic powers.
Colour attract the divine energies and activate the five elements. "The seven colors of the rainbow are associated with the seven chakras (energy centers) of our body,"
Each colour in the spectrum vibrates at its own rate and these vibrations correspond with the body's inner vibration. Each part of the body resonates to a different colour. That is the reason colours are used to harmonize vibrations and restore equilibrium. Our sages understood the importance of colour therapy many years back and incorporated it in our culture for improvement of every individual socially as well as spiritually.
Whatever is the reason and method of celebrating Holi, it is certainly a good time for introspection, a time to burn the Holika (carnal desires and impurities of the mind) hiding within to ashes through the fire of devotion and knowledge, so that we can find out the truth and finally lead to Divinity. This festival also keep the people socially linked and spread the happiness and love.
