The essential way to live
There are four velours or goals which have to be achieved by each individual soul. The Valour means desire which one should aim in a systemic way. The other meaning of velour is the fruit achieved after lot of hard labor. These are Dharma, Arth, Kaam and Moksha.
Dharma- Practising Dharma is the supreme method for improving the quality of our human life. The word "dharma" originates from the Sanskrit root dhri, meaning to "uphold" or to "sustain." means "that which upholds or sustains the positive order of things. The Karmas that bring purity into your being is Dharma. The Karmas become Dharma when our chitta is pure. Pure intellect is only possible when there is element of divinity associated with it and this is only achieved with the shuddha Buddhi. When the intellect controls the mind, then that intellect is of the highest grade Dharma is found where there is pure intellect which in turn is associated with detachment & sound judgment. (Vivek)
Arth – This is desired by everyone. No one in this world work without any aim and behind every aim there is desire of benefit, comfort and welfare. The ultimate aim of every human soul is to achieve the highest pleasure. An ordinary man feels that one can get happiness if all the materialistic things are achieved with money. Whatever we do is centered on only money. Arth never stays inside; it is always outside. But the happineess lies inside. The thing which is outside can't bring happiness. Even if it does than it is for moment.
The third valour is Kaam which is associated with situation, person or material things.
This stays in our mind because after achieving our desirable, whether it is situation, person or thing or material. This is definitely better than Arth because to get this; Arth can be spend by any one like anything. But chance of loosing the direction is very high if not guided properly on time. It is a double edge sword.
When Arth & Kaam are not associated with the Dharma then they create the illusion of pleasure. We must understand and implement Arth & Kaam in such a way that momentary pleasure which later leads to sorrow, should not happen.
Whatever prevents blind attraction & attachment that is Dharma. Obeying the Dharma brings brightness & enlightenment to the mind & shoul, People who do not follow their Dharma can never have this aura
We usually concentrate on the Arth & Kaam aspects of purushartha & forget about Moksha & Dharma or leave it on future. If we leave Arth & Kaam in hands of God & concentrate all the energies on achieving Moksha & Dharma than everything else falls into place automatically.
One can not restrain totally or run away from this world. Than what one should do? One should practice Dharma, Arth & Karma equally. Concentrating only on one is what causes man’s downfall. So Balance is the key word. If Arth & Kaam are imbibed with Dharma as the medium, than the Kaam will not lead to any ties and so the path of liberation will open up.
The way of life has been divided in to four stages to prepare one for achievement of these goals in a systematic manner so one can enjoy the life in totality. These are brahmacharya, grihastha, vanaprastha and sanyas ashram. These four stages also help in balancing the three Gunas (satv, raj, tam)
The brahmacharya ashram (stage of studentship) is for initial 20-25 years in which the knowledge of Dharma and other aspects like livelihood, politics etc are learned in a diligent and focused manner to make life better under strict discipline, celibacy and guidance This is the best time to sow the seed of good sanskara on which rest of three ashram matures.
The second 20-25 years, is called the "Grihastha ashram" or householder phase. This is the main time for marriage, having children and raising a family, as well as for working and fulfilling our duties to society. It involves earning a living through the skills acquired during Brahmacharya ashram. In this ashrama an individual pays three debts (service of God, serving sages and saints and to ancestors), The goal is to acquire knowledge, build character and learn to shoulder responsibilities on the basis of dharma.
The third section of 20-25 yr is Vanaprastha or the hermitage phase indicates the departure gradual withdrawal from material possessions & active life handing over the control to the next generationand. In this one begins devoting more time to study of scriptures, contemplation and meditation. The social activities become religious in nature. Celibacy is again recommended.
The fourth and last section is the "Sannyasa" or renunciation phase. In this phase one has to give up all worldly ties, spends all of his or her time in meditation and inwardly aims to seek the highest bliss of spirituality.
Simply reading a topic from a book is not enough. It should stay with one. If any wants to understand its true meaning, then one should successfully imbibe the meaning of the topic read in one’s daily life.

Festivals are classified into two Main Categories mainly for celebration -
1. One is related with the Celebration of Great incarnation of Lord and Saints.
2. Other festivals relate to the change of the season e.g. Basant Panchami, Makar Sakranti,
Through the festival we are made aware of the change in nature, so that we can live in harmony.
Holi is the festival of colours, romance and triumph of good over evil. In some Bhakti traditions such as Sufism Basant Panchmi stats the Creator and Holi celebrates the meeting of soul and creator.
The reference of Holi is found in Narda Puran, Bhavishya Puran and Jamini Purvamimansa sutra
Holi welcomes the spring and celebration of new life and energy of the season.
Holi is also known as Rang Panchami, Holikotsav, Vasant Mahotsav, Kam Mahotsav. Holi is also a tribute to mother earth for heavy provided us with food and nurturing. It is celebrated on full moon day in the Phalgun month
The legend behind celeberation of Holi -
* The most famous is the Prahalad, who was saved from burning by holika by Lord Narayan. King Hiranyakashyap was angry at his son Prahlad’s devotion to Vihnu and made several attempts to kill him but failed. Finally he decided to make prahlad sat on his sister Holika’s lap who had bestowal that Fire will not burn her.He thought in this way he will kill Prahlad and Holika would remain unharmed. Prahlad’s firm faith on God Vishnu enables him to emerge safe from terrible fire while Holika is reduced to ashes.
This story establishes the victory of positive forces over negative and inspires one to celebrate and respect positive forces in nature. Holi strong the beliefs that true devotees of God emerge safe in difficult circumstances and evil people are punished. It is not all that simple though and one needs to harbor spiritual quality for self development and emulate the attritubes of Prahalad.
* Victory over Dhundhi Ogress by children in kingdom of Prithu
* In memory of caper played by Krishana to adjust the injustice of skin colour- Radha was so fair and Krishna was so dark.Mata Yashoda suggested to splesh the colours on Radha’s face to make her complexion like Krishna.
* Lord Krishana killed Putna that day.
* In memory of reincarnation of Kamdeva - Kamdeva is considered as God of Love. He is distroyed in to ashes when he tried to disrupt Lord Shiva Penance for the Marriege with Devi Parvati on request of Indra and other Devas for the destruction of Tarkasur. This happened on the day of Holika Dahan. When Rati (wife of Kamdeva) prayed Lord Shiva, he restored him as a mental image. This story signifies the burning of carnal desires and presents spiritual state of Love rather than physical lust..
* Birthday of Chaitanya Maha Prabhu - He is a significant form of Radha and Lord Krishana combined in one
Holi Bonfire signifies devotion and knowledge which burns away the mind's impurities like egoism lust, selfishness, greed, hatred and undesirable tendencies by decomposing the Raja and Tama Particals in the atmosphare . Elemination of negative energies helps in acquiring divine attributes of Love laughter and joy through play of colours because the colors work like generators of energy.
It is also said that this bonfire destroyes the bacterias which are responsible for illness due to change in season.
We are all influenced by the different vibrations that each colour possesses.Colours represent the outward expression of our deepest emotions. Colors are manifestation of cosmic powers.
Colour attract the divine energies and activate the five elements. "The seven colors of the rainbow are associated with the seven chakras (energy centers) of our body,"
Each colour in the spectrum vibrates at its own rate and these vibrations correspond with the body's inner vibration. Each part of the body resonates to a different colour. That is the reason colours are used to harmonize vibrations and restore equilibrium. Our sages understood the importance of colour therapy many years back and incorporated it in our culture for improvement of every individual socially as well as spiritually.
Whatever is the reason and method of celebrating Holi, it is certainly a good time for introspection, a time to burn the Holika (carnal desires and impurities of the mind) hiding within to ashes through the fire of devotion and knowledge, so that we can find out the truth and finally lead to Divinity. This festival also keep the people socially linked and spread the happiness and love.

Time of solar eclipse in IST for 15 january 2010 - From 9:35 AM to 3:58 PM in Capricorn
Few facts about Eclipse-
* Mention of eclipse is found in Rig veda , Valmiki Ramayana and Mahabharata.
* We can witness many Chandra Grahans (Lunar Eclipses), but Surya Grahans (Solar Eclipses) are very rare. Because the moon orbits the Earth at an angle, approximately 5 degrees relative to the Earth-sun plane, the moon crosses the Earth's orbital plane only twice a year.As per the science also, Lunar Eclipse has very less effects on living beings but Solar Eclipse significantly affects the living world.
* The sun eclipse happens only with new moon and moon eclipse happens at moonless night.
* During Surya Grahan, Sun losses all his energy during Grahan and regains his lost energy and gathers the whole cosmic energy after the Grahan. The time to regain energy can be long sometimes and depends on type of eclipse.
* The effects of a Total Solar Eclipse last from 3 months to 3.5 years. The changes to be felt can take 6 months.
* Eclipses are of four types - total, annular, hybrid and partial. This time it is annular.
* Esoterically, Lunar and Solar Eclipse actually amplify the energy of the Signs they are in at that time many folds and then they are capable of manifesting and unveiling things those remain hidden as they open up the gates of our consciousness in accordance with the astrological significance.
* The eclipse is bound to bring a change and change is necessary for growth. The time of the eclipse is considered auspicious as this the time which is appropriate celestially to reevaluate our decisions, make adjustments, introspection, strive for balance and to plan for the future and to achieve the impossible and difficult goals with ease.

Hamlet Act 1, scene 5, 159–167
Did Shakespeare have a clue about the mysterious powers to which our ordinary senses are too oblivious? Well it appears that the way in which the occult operates is essential for the ordinary mortals as they are not prepared for the acquaintance.
Each and every thing, living or nonliving can be translated into a form of energy and our thoughts which swarm in our mind like millions of butterflies continuously appearing and disappearing are also a form of energy although a very subtle one which our conventional science is yet to harness into something which can be measured or stored.
These thoughts reside in the complex matrix of our mind and furthest our science has reached in the so called calculations is that to have the knowledge of the frequencies at which our neurons fire and the associated levels of awareness and the state of mind.
The frequency range of the brain/mind is 14 - 30 cps (cycles per second or hertz). This is known as the “beta”state of mind. In this condition, the mind is engaged in active pursuits and alert.
* ALPHA: 7 - 13 cps Day dreaming condition; highly meditative state.
Associated with super learning and enhanced memory
* THETA: 3.5 - 7 cps deeply relaxed condition; the exact moment when you fall
asleep. Associated with extrasensory skills and psychic
abilities.
* DELTA: 0.5 – 3.5 cps Deep, very deep sleep. A stage of heightened immunity.
Now here is a mind blowing piece of information for all the skeptics and the curious seekers
You and the planet resonate with each other and share energy between each other.
Earth’s magnetic field vibrates at a steady7.83Hz tone this is the resonance frequency of the Earth's magnetic field, making it a very natural meditation frequency for meditation. If you can somehow lower your bodily and mental frequencies to this level, you tune in to the vast unquenchable supply of life energies pervading the entire planet. It is this energy that will enable you to empower your thoughts and project it with such force that reality is reshaped with your mind alone.
Now the question which arises is what is it got to do with the occult significance of the solar eclipse?Here is a scientific explanation for;
If you meditate during the period of eclipse and if you are able to lower your brain frequency in this range that is 7htz. Then probably you will set in to motion the magical wheel of the occult and you can expect all kinds of divine manifestations and the psychic elevation that have been spoken of in so much details and in such mysterious ways.
When the all the three great heavenly bodies have aligned there axis in parallel : I am sure you can have that chill up your spine as to what will happen to the innate frequencies of all that comes in its way. The principal of resonance can actually magnify such frequencies and if by meditating you somehow align yourself with the frequency of earth then the manifestations are unstoppable and hence there is a probable explanation to the fact that all the religions and customs all over the globe lay al lot of stress on the significance of such events because what can be achieved in that brief moment might actually take a whole life time otherwise.
It is definitely a point to ponder upon.

Concept behind dreaded BURI NAJAR-
“Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder” is very true but as much truth is that the same eye is capable of transferring the negative energies which are capable of causing harmful effects on another person. Our mind is an instrument of our feelings and emotions and it just acts like a two way radio-transmitter. When a person keeps accumulating negative emotions or feelings towards another person they get beamed via the eyes on him and as little as a simple gaze or a cursory glance can bring the ill effects. It is the first glance that is important and once it is neutralized then there is no further harm.
In the spiritual context, energy exists in every form. So it lies in spoken word, feeling of touch, taste, thoughts and odor also. All these energies constitute what we commonly perceive as a person’s WILL and according to this fundamental a person can transmit his willful energy which can be in a positive or negative form.
When a person is stuck with a negative thought or thoughts constantly than it becomes stronger and generate the vibration for movement. This vibration energy of the negative thoughts surely erupt negative effects on the affected person. Such negative thoughts often get strengthened in people possessing strong will power and they can knowingly or unknowingly bring adverse effects on the person about whom they have been focusing there attention on.
Who can have the evil eye?
A person is said to possess the evil eye if whatever he or she looks upon is harmed. The evil eye is either involuntary or deliberate. A person with an evil eye need not necessarily be wicked, disgustful or loathful and usually are not aware they are doing so. Even an innocent person totally unaware of his psychic potentials can cast a ferocious evil eye on another of whom he has been ill thinking of continuously or who just cannot control their own emotions. This harmful emotion can be substantial enough to make its way through one or more of your chakras or astral nerve centers. The evil eye is a thought or thoughts emanating from a negative emotion in one person and sent either willfully or unwillfully to another person. Because thoughts are usually motivated and propelled by emotions, they can range anywhere from love to lust and from hatred to jealousy. Some of these energies are subtle and some are quite strong. Love and envy; they both are extremely strong and intense wishes, they frame themselves readily into imaginations, and they come easily into the eye, especially upon the presence of the objects which can contribute to fascination, if any such there be.
Compliments of any sort , especially those that have a sense of envy or jealousy, can trigger the evil eye. Extraneous objects such as fancy dress, jewelry, or food that evoke jealosy can make the person possessing them afflicted with illness. This means that anyone with anything admirable is susceptible to the evil eye.
One or two "incriminating" incidents from everyday life may doom a person to the detested category of those with the "eye".
The stare of a person with these kind of negative energy acts like a laser beam, which rips open the aura of concern person and blind the third eye which is the source of accepting the positive energy from the nature resulting in unexplained uneasiness, loss of control, weeping, irritation, sleeplessness, weakness and loss of appetite in general.
The deliberate or malevolent use of the evil eye is called "overlooking" which is developed after lot of practice by directing the negative energy to the target.
How does one know that he is affected by the evil eye?
Whenever a person suffers from unexplained distress in any domain of life for which no obvious cause could be pinpointed then it is highly possible of his being affected by the evil eye.It is beyond the realms of our sensory perceptions and also from that of our mind and intellect to even perceive the evil eye because its effects are at the spiritual levels and they are in-perceivable to our human senses. Only a person who is spiritually advanced and evolved i.e. his spirituality level is above 70% can actually perceive it.
Another method to ascertain this is to perform a specific ritual to cast off the evil eye and see the results.
Does Astrology help in finding vulnerability for evil eye?
Yes! Astrology definatly helps in determining the susceptibility for evil eye. Planets, house and their relationship with each other indicates the sensitivity for Najar. The key role is played by Rahu, Ketu and Saturn. Some zodiac signs like cancer easily get affected by negative energies. The role of moon can not be ignored because it governs our emotions. When remedies to neutrlize the negative energy are done according to horoscope,it gives good and long lasting.
How certain rituals cast off the evil eye after effect?
The fundamental behind performing the rituals to cast off the effects of evil eye is to nullify the negative energies which are the chief agents behind all its ill effects. Such rituals are powerful methods of literally sucking out these negative forces from the vital energy sheath and the mental sheath of the affected person. When the black negative energies have been sucked out, they are nullified and destroyed by burning them.
How to get rid of the effects of the evil eye?
There are various remedies for getting untangled from the ill effects of the evil eye and they are numerous and diverse according to the customs and the religious practices. Here are certain widely practiced remedial methods to cast off the evil eye.
